Meet Joffen Hopland

Joffen Hopland is a Norwegian music producer, drummer and musical director who has toured internationally with multiple major-label artists. He has performed at some of the largest music festivals in the world, most notably Coachella, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, appeared on FOX News, Good Day New York, Good Morning San Diego, CTV Canada, TV2 Norway, NRK and Kanal 5 Norway and has performed in front of crowds of up to 25,000 people.

As a music producer, he has been recognized for winning the official remix contest for AWOLNATION'S "Passion", and in the studio he has worked with artists such as Lemaitre, Grammy Award-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli, and Brit Award-winning producer Stephen Street.

"I grew up in a super small town called Stryn in the fjords of Norway. With a population of 5,000, it means there are limitations to what you can do and achieve. It was an amazing place to grow up in, but I always had this feeling that I didn’t fit in. After finding the drums I started dreaming about moving to Los Angeles to pursue it. It felt so right and I couldn’t wait to finish high school so I could finally go. I love Norway, but my gut was telling me to go to Los Angeles, so I applied to Musicians Institute in Hollywood, got accepted and flew across the pond at the age of 20.

From there, I went on to tour with multiple several signed artists all over the world, from the United States to Asia, and Europe to Australia. After gathering a lot of experience performing with different artists, I started expanding my expertise to include musical directing and music production."
